This unique collaboration between the Pediatric Firestorm TEAM (Transdisciplinary Team – Education, Assessment and Mitigation-PFire TEAM) and Best Starts to Life will bring together clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and community partners to examine how wildfire smoke and debris impact children’s health—and to chart a path toward evidence-based action and advocacy.
Program Highlights:
- Keynote talks from leading pediatric, environmental, and planetary health experts
- Breakout sessions on respiratory & cardiac health, air quality monitoring, school/community preparedness, policy solutions and voices of families and communities impacted by wildfire
- Collaborative action planning to create a shared white paper and advocacy toolkit
